RFD is Chicago's Cargo-Friendly Airport!
RFD is a top 25 U.S. cargo airport and is rapidly becoming a major transportation center for the Midwest. RFD is home to the second-largest air hub sorting facility in UPS's domestic division.
RFD offers many benefits to cargo operations including excellent facilities, a congestion-free airspace, and proximity to a major intermodal transportation hub. Additionally, RFD is a US Customs Port of Entry and the Authority is grantee for Foreign-Trade Zone 176.
We have 24-7 services, including fueling, de-icing, catering, ground handling and trucking.
RFD is committed to continued improvement in its offering to the air cargo market. Over the past few years more than $180 million has been invested in infrastructure improvements and facilities at RFD.
RFD offers build-to-suit and spec building opportunities on airport property. The International Cargo Center is a phased development of up to 33 acres of land located adjacent to the primary runway (7/25). Phase I is built and ready for aircraft, offering a 72,000 sq. ft. building and parking for several 747-8s.
