Would you like to "see the country" and visit fun places across the United States, but do not have the time or money? RFD's "Day Trips" may be the perfect solution for you.
What Is A Day Trip?
We have selected cities/destinations in the U.S. that are less than a two- hour flight and worked with partner-city airports and communities to schedule Day Trips from RFD to these destinations. These Day Trip flights will depart RFD in the morning and return back to Rockford in the evening.
Since our goal is to provide air service at an affordable price - and to break even on the flights - the round-trip ticket pricing is quite reasonable. Especially when considering that no overnight hotel stay is required.
In addition to the flights, for some destinations, we were able to coordinate Shuttle Bus service to popular attractions for a modest fee. Rental cars are also available to "Day Trippers" once they arrive at the destination city airports.
Some destinations include: Niagara Falls; Indianapolis (to attend the Brickyard 400); Mackinac Island; and Mount Rushmore

Day Trip T-Shirts
Come out to the Passengers Services Counter in the Main Terminal to purchase your one-of-a-kind Day Trip T-shirt. Shirts can be purchased Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Shirts are $10 each or 2 for $15, CASH ONLY, and come in sizes small, medium, large, XL, and XXL.
